The way we NOURISH is ALWAYS paramount to health. And there are many opinions. I have heard it said that nutrition is more like religion than science because of the state of passion and contradiction. I was trained to help you find the YOU in the theories.
Food is very, very personal.
There is No one diet for all people at all times. Beware of Food Dogma!
How you choose to nourish yourself can only be determined by you.

Vibrant health and wellness is a result of learning to hear and heed the needs of your body, mind, and spirit.
We do this with food, herbs, supplements, and lifestyle modifications.
We do this by respecting all the other healing professionals on your team.
Our needs are simple– enough sleep, love, quality food, clean and plentiful water, safety and joy.

A word about herbs:

I teach that herbs are food. Herbs can enhance the nutritional quality of your diet. This in turn enhances your bodies’ ability to do what it was designed to do- maintain balance so that you can have a life of vibrancy!
Vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants are all contained within food.
All health challenges can be positively impacted by addressing the fuel that we put into our body.
Many of my clients come to me having been on antidepressants for years, but no one has taught them that their choice of foods is impacting their psychological and spiritual health. When we look, we find that the person is eating a diet overloaded with sugar, caffeine, and processed foods, too little love…
Depression, Anxiety, Bi-Polar, or OCD are not just about brain chemistry.
The brain is fed and connected to the body, and fed by the spirit!
What you eat. How you digest. How you eliminate wastes. How much you move. How you sleep. These are contributing factors to the quality of your life and your ability to heal.These daily conscious and unconscious choices have a profound effect on the state of your emotional life.
A word about movement:
We were created to move. Movement is the essence of Vibrant Health. It is essential to find a movement for your body that you enjoy. Dance, run, skip, swim, practice yoga or martial arts, walk or jump on a rebounder, play a sport – BUT FIND A MOVEMENT AND DO IT.
If you find you are not able to move, despite desire, there may be some inhibitory “freeze” response, due to unhealed trauma, that is holding you back. This can be healed!
Dr. Tina is a Registered Herbalist (RH-AHG) with The American Herbalist Guild and a Board Certified Health Coach (BCC) a graduate from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Life Coach Institute; as well as a yoga teacher (RYT 300), Certified Yoga Therapist (IAYT-C) and a Level II iRest Mindfulness Meditation teacher.
Having worked for New Chapter as a National Educator, Smile Herb Shop as Educator and Manager, and Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia) as Clinic Supervisor and Faculty in the Botanical Studies program, as well as teaching integrative healing at hospitals, schools, religious communities, and businesses – Dr. Tina has decades of study and practice in living, learning, and teaching ways that will sustain and enhance your life and help you discover your Vibrant Life.
